- Oratorio: a musical play based on a Bible story or scripture. It uses solos, ensembles and choruses to tell the story. Usually a orchestra or organ accompanies the singers. Unlike opera, it is not acted out with costumes or props.
Second grade worked on sight-reading a melody on instruments.
In addition to working on Hine Ma Tov and Lightning!, second grade began work on their third song for the concert, Arre Borriquito. Different classes have different parts, which can be accessed at home here: Arre Borriquito (click on "Part-by-Part" at the bottom)

Third grade continued work on Carol of the Bells and Hanerot Halalu, as well as began their third concert piece, Amani Utupe.
Kindergarten worked on memorizing the musical alphabet and determining what orders the letters go in, which first grade learned the space note names (F-A-C-E) while continuing to identify line note names (E-G-B-D-F).
Kindergarten continues memorization of their concert songs I Have a Little Dreidel, Jingle Bells, and Down in the Valley. They continue to develop concert/performance etiquette as well as singing technique (posture, breathing, etc). First grade continues to work on Ring the Bells, It's Christmas! and Ma-o-Tzur. For Somebody's Knockin', they have learned the entire song and now work on memorization, dynamics, and singing technique.
