Week 4 - with song links for classes AND Men's Chorus

Mallet Madness - scroll down to the previous post for your materials!

Men's Chorus began learning the chorus of our song in Old French. They can listen to the recording here: Duce Dame Jolie. They were also sent home with the sheet music for practicing. They must learn the first line at least by September 12!

Last week, Kindergarten listened to more Bach and colored to his song, Sheep May Safely Graze. They continue to work on learning concert songs (they now know all of Simple Gifts, and most of Frosty the Snowman) and develop basic music skills through games and song. 3rd grade briefly looked at Bach's life, to be studied more later (most likely October). 1st grade took a last look at Scarlatti, as did 2nd grade.

2nd grade used "Charlie Over the Ocean" to look at high vs low notes, keep beat, play instruments, and sing. 3rd grade worked on reading and hearing rhythms with a Telephone-like game of passing rhythms.

2nd grade continues to work on Tongo and began to learn Sing Out A Joyful Song.
3A and 3C sing Part 1 of Canoe Song, while 3B sings Part 2. 3rd grade also began learning Zum Gali Gali.
